Back in 1997 I was 9 years old and christmas was coming. My parents decided to buy me a video game system. The choices were Nintendo 64, Sega Saturn, or Sony Playstation. Each one I rented from blockbuster first the Saturn didn't like it. Than n64 I liked it and finally came the Playstation. I choose the Playstation which I'm very happy I did. Many games came out for it. Also many great series started on it. For examples Crash Bandicoot series and Resident Evil series.
I sold my old grey Playstation years ago. Bought it back for 20 dollars. Ccurrently playing it to this day. The system is over 10 years old and runs like new.
Right now games are about graphics and movies than gameplay. If anyone would see the graphics they would get sick. Because its a major downgrade but if you were like me and grew up on it than the graphics don't seem so bad. I say buy it even though its been dead for years now. There is a ton of games on it to play and can be found for dirt cheap prices.
